Ted Foulkes grew up in the suburbs of Los Angeles, where he began a television acting career at the age of five. Although he continued to act into his teen years, his interest in art - especially cartooning - also began at an early age.

After high school, Ted held a variety of odd jobs, from running a studio mail room to working as a veterinary assistant. Eventually he decided to return to school and pursue a career in graphic design, a field which seemed to offer more stability.

Through it all, though, he continued to draw cartoons. "I've always tried to look at the humor in everything I see or do," Ted explains. "With that kind of thinking, I rarely run out of ideas to draw."

Ted, his wife, Andrea and their three children reside in the "Show Me" state of Missouri.
