Bud McCaulley's professional art career spans more than forty years and enjoyed success in a wide range of genres, from commercial art to murals and large scale fine art paintings to the humorous paintings published by Leanin' Tree.

Born and raised in Kansas , Bud moved to Amarillo , Texas in 1961 with his wife, Gwen and their four daughters.  Never claiming "cowboy" status, still the West ern lifestyle became a perfect catalyst for his humor.  During a busy commercial art career, he developed the "McCaulley Did It" Bluebird Prints, a wildly popular cartoon series with a western look and flair.  During this same time, Bud's humorous illustrations were frequently found in Jo e Small's True West publications.

While continuing to develop his western fine art, along with his fun art, Bud's CCI affiliation provided him the opportunity to realize a long time ambition of becoming a Leanin' Tree artist.

Bud continues to communicate with paint, puns, and perseverance, refusing to share "brushes" with Father Time.
